The collection consists of approximately 1200 black and white photographs and cyanotypes of equipment manufactured by the Cochrane Corporation. The photographs depict Cochrane's various products, including heaters, blow-off valves, water softeners, and steam purifiers. Most of the images are mounted on cardboard and have descriptive captions on the back. The collection is arranged by product type. The collection dates from approximately 1915 to 1940; the bulk of the photographs were taken during the 1920s and 1930s.
